These qualifications are designed for managers and leaders who have the authority and responsibility for developing and implementing a coaching and mentoring strategy across the organisation. These qualifications require managers and leaders to build on their strategic management and leadership skills to focus on the requirements of embedding the organisation’s strategy.

Organisational Coaching and Mentoring
A formal coaching and mentoring programme enhances organisational performance by developing capability across all levels. This unit is about constructing a coaching and mentoring policy and gaining policy acceptance throughout your organisation.
You will explore the obstacles at an organisational, business area, team and individual employee level which could include personal barriers to coaching and mentoring. In doing so, you will analyse the operational areas that might require additional support during adoption of coaching and mentoring.
You’ll go on to devise a strategy to monitor the impact of coaching and mentoring across your organisation including methods to identify and recognise coaching and mentoring successes.
Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, you will;
- Be able to analyse the issues involved during the adoption of organisational coaching and mentoring
- Be able to develop changes through the coaching and mentoring process
- Be able to determine the need for continual high level support for coaching and mentoring
Assessment Criteria
You will be required to meet the following criteria as part of the assessment process;
- Evaluate obstacles to coaching and mentoring from the operational managers’ perspective
- Devise strategies to overcome or minimise the operational managers’ issues
- Analyse those operational areas requiring additional support during adoption of coaching and mentoring
- Devise a strategy to monitor the impact of coaching and mentoring across the organisation
- Develop a methodology for operational managers who under-perform in coaching and mentoring
- Develop a methodology for operational managers who over-perform in coaching and mentoring
- Determine a method to identify and recognise coaching and mentoring successes
- Evaluate a strategy in response to a less than positive coaching and mentoring experience
- Discuss methods for the strategic managers to demonstrate overt support for the coaching and mentoring process
